Our story
Veens The Label is a couple-run studio based in Canada — two people, one shared belief that the things we live with should feel as good in the hand as they look on the shelf. We build a small curated collection of timeless pieces for the home: considered, lasting, and made to be used.
Every collection begins with the room it is for and the moment it is meant to hold. A lamp for the corner you read in. Linens for the bed you slow down in. A vessel for the flowers you brought home on a Tuesday.
Sustainability is part of the way we think — not a marketing line, but a filter we put each piece through before it earns a place in the collection. More on that below.
Materials & craftsmanship
We work in natural materials wherever the piece allows — wood, stone, linen, cotton, ceramic, glass, brass. We choose them for how they age, not just how they arrive. A well-made piece should grow more itself with time, not less.
Our makers are small workshops and family-run studios. Each piece passes through a human hand before it reaches yours, which means small variations in grain, weave, and glaze are part of the design — not flaws, but signatures.
Sustainability
We think about it at three points — what a piece is made from, how it travels, and how long it lasts.
We favour natural and recycled fibres, responsibly sourced wood, and finishes free of unnecessary chemistry. We ship in recyclable or curbside-compostable packaging, and we hold ourselves to plastic-free wherever it is possible. And we design for longevity, because the most sustainable thing a home good can do is stay in your home.
We are not perfect, and we will not pretend to be. We share what we are working on, and where we have further to go.
